Who are We...
We are a mature team of primarily 8-12 players, made up partly of Canadian Forces Veterans who enjoy getting out and utilizing old skills and having fun. We are the Canadian branch of the team 1 Legion Milsim and have branches in the United States, United Kingdom, Netherlands, South Africa and Peurto Rico. The Canadian branch specialize in covert military style tactics and reconnaissance. We enjoy getting together whenever we can as we are not just a team but a group of friends. We love to work with other teams and new players to assist them in developing new skills and a better understanding of the sport of Airsoft MilSim.
Our Intent...
On the Island of Newfoundland the sport is slowly growing and we use every chance to promote this sport via events and social media. Many of our younger players have gone on to become Police Officers, CBSA Officers and members of the Canadian Forces. We play at the local Airsoft field as well as on private fields. We have represented Newfoundland Airsoft by attending the largest east coast event held in Nova Scotia called "Rock the Ridge". We had planned to attend this year but due to several family emergencies it became difficult to travel the distance. In late 2018 we launched our new web site, www.1legion.ca and it is already getting much attention as to our knowledge, we are one of very few airsoft teams globally that actually have our own team website. This site even has an ever changing private page for members to review training materials and maneuvers as well as see the team schedule of training and events.
Our Motto...
The teams Motto is, "Cry Havoc... Let slip the Dogs of War", from William Shakespeare's Julius Caesar
The military order "Havoc" was a signal given to the English military forces in the Middle Ages to direct the soldiery (in Shakespeare's parlance 'the dogs of war') to pillage and chaos. Our training utilizes the art of deception causing the enemy to think we are somewhere while actually being somewhere else causing disruptions and destabilize enemy forces. Our logo shows that of an alert wolf leading. We operate as a Unit or "Pack" as there is strength and security in numbers. We train and operate to Detect, Divide, and Disrupt all enemy and obstacles.
